The problem we started with
Most people furnish a home office twice. The first time in a hurry — a folding stand, a plastic organiser, a mat that curls at the corners — and the second time properly, eighteen months later, after everything from the first round has failed or been quietly thrown away.
We started Cozya to remove the first round.
Working from home stopped being temporary, but the market never caught up. You can buy office furniture built for an office, or you can buy accessories built to a price. There was very little made for the specific reality of a desk that sits in a living room, a bedroom corner or a spare room — a desk that has to work hard and still look like it belongs in a home.
How we choose
We don't design furniture. We find it.
Every piece in the Cozya range is selected against the same short list of questions. Is it made from a material that improves with use rather than degrading? Does it still look right in a room that isn't an office? Will it survive five years of daily contact? And does it solve a real problem, or does it just occupy desk space?
Most things we look at fail at least one of those. The range is small because of it — 59 pieces across risers, surfaces, cable management and desk objects, each one chosen rather than added.
Materials we work in
Solid wood — walnut, oak and beech, sealed rather than lacquered, so the grain stays visible and hand contact darkens it attractively over time.
Machined aluminium — anodised and brushed, used where a piece needs mass and rigidity more than warmth.
Pressed wool felt — dense enough to lie flat and quiet a hard desk, for the surfaces your hands rest on all day.
Powder-coated steel — the structural pieces. Heavier gauge than the category standard, because the failure mode of a cheap riser is always the same.
What we avoid is simpler to list: thin pressed sheet, printed woodgrain film, gloss finishes that scratch on day one, and anything that depends on an adhesive pad to stay where you put it.

60-day returns, free, with no justification required. A desk is personal. The only way to know whether a piece is right is to live with it for a few weeks, and our policy is built around that rather than against it.
