KEYS, WALLET, EARBUDS. ONE PLACE. EVERY TIME.
The things you lose are the things that have no fixed home, and almost everyone's keys and earbuds fall into that category. Holt is a shallow solid wood box that sits at the corner of the desk or by the door and absorbs all of it. Walls are high enough that nothing slides out when you drop something in at speed. It is a small object with a measurable effect on how often you are late looking for something.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Cuts from solid stock, not panel — so the end grain is real wood rather than a printed edge strip.
- Raises the walls enough to contain a drop — meaning keys thrown in from standing height stay in.
- Lines the floor to quiet the clatter — so metal landing in it does not carry across a quiet room.
- Sits shallow enough to see into — which is the difference between a catch-all and a junk drawer.
- Works on the desk or by the door — an object you can move rather than a fixture you have to mount.
