THE LAST OBJECT THE DESK WAS MISSING
Kiva holds a small stack of business cards upright at a readable angle, which matters more than it sounds if people sit across the desk from you. It is made from reclaimed wood offcuts in a steel frame, so no two are quite identical in grain. Off a desk it works equally well for a stack of notes or a photograph. It is the cheapest thing in the catalogue and one of the few that visitors actually comment on.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Stands cards upright and angled — so they read from across the desk instead of lying face-down in a pile.
- Builds from reclaimed wood offcuts — which means the grain is genuinely different on every piece.
- Frames the wood in steel — giving a very small object enough weight to stay where you put it.
- Holds notes and photographs too — so it keeps earning its space even if you never hand out a card.
- Arrives finished and ready — nothing to assemble, nothing to adjust.
