PENS, CARDS AND THE REST, FINALLY STANDING TO ATTENTION
A pen cup tips over, a tray lets everything slide into one corner, and neither looks like much. Lund uses separate aluminium sleeves set into a solid walnut body, so each thing stands upright in its own slot with a visible gap between them. It is the difference between storage and arrangement. On a desk that has been curated rather than assembled, this is the piece that tells you which one you are looking at.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Sets aluminium sleeves into solid walnut — so each pen stands in its own slot instead of leaning in a communal cup.
- Weights the base low — which stops the whole thing tipping when you pull a pen from the outer sleeve.
- Separates the slots visibly — so you reach for the right item by position rather than by rummaging.
- Pairs warm wood with cold alloy — matching a desk that already mixes a timber top with metal hardware.
- Arrives fully built — no assembly, nothing to align.
