THE ONE OBJECT ON THE DESK THAT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS ENGINEERED
Steld is a square aluminium plate tray with a brushed face and a square shoulder, and it is unapologetically the most expensive small object in this catalogue. It holds a notebook, a watch and a camera body, or it serves coffee, and it looks like a machined component either way. On a desk full of warm wood it is the hard, cold, deliberate note that makes everything else read as a choice. Buy it because you want to look at it.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Machines from aluminium plate — which gives a square shoulder and a flat face that folded sheet simply cannot.
- Brushes the surface in one direction — so the grain catches light consistently rather than scattering it.
- Weighs enough to sit absolutely still — no sliding when you set something down on one corner.
- Lines the underside — so a metal tray never grinds against a timber desk top.
- Works as a tray or a catch-all — equally at home holding coffee or a watch and a notebook.
