THE DESK GETS QUIETER THE MOMENT THIS GOES DOWN
Hard desks are loud desks: the mouse clatters, the keyboard rings, and a mug landing sounds like an event. Fells is dense pressed wool felt, and it absorbs all of that the instant you lay it down. It also warms the room visually in a way leather never does, which suits a home office that has to look like part of the house. Writing on it directly feels better than writing on a bare desk, which is a small thing you notice every single day.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Deadens the noise of a hard desk — so the keyboard, the mouse and a landing mug all stop ringing through the room.
- Presses the wool dense enough to lie flat — rather than the thin craft felt that rucks under a keyboard within a week.
- Cushions the wrist on bare contact — which makes writing directly on the mat noticeably easier than on laminate.
- Warms a cold-looking room — softening a setup that is otherwise all glass, metal and screen.
- Brushes clean with a lint roller — no washing, no special care.
