NO TICK. NO GLOW. NO REASON TO REACH FOR YOUR PHONE AT 3AM.
A ticking clock in a quiet study is maddening, and a backlit one by the bed is worse. Nord runs a genuinely silent sweep movement in a frosted metal case, so there is no sound at all and no light until you ask for it. It works as a desk clock during the day and an alarm at night without being irritating in either role. For a room you both work and sleep in, that combination is harder to find than it should be.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Runs a silent sweep movement — so there is no tick to notice in a quiet room at eleven at night.
- Stays dark until you press it — rather than glowing at you from the bedside all night.
- Cases the body in frosted metal — which feels substantially better in the hand than the usual moulded plastic.
- Doubles as desk clock and alarm — covering both jobs in a room that does both.
- Runs for months on one battery — with a rear compartment that opens without a tool.
