GOOD HEADPHONES SHOULD NOT LIVE ON THE FLOOR
A decent pair of headphones costs more than most desk furniture and usually ends up slung over a monitor corner, slowly deforming the headband. Soren gives them a proper perch - a broad walnut arc that spreads the weight across the band instead of creasing one point of it, on a base heavy enough that lifting them off does not drag the stand along. The grain is open and warm, so it looks like something chosen rather than something ordered. Your headphones last longer and the desk looks considered.
WHY THIS EARNS ITS PLACE ON YOUR DESK
- Spreads the band across a broad arc — so the headphones are not slowly creased by a narrow hook or a monitor edge.
- Turns the body from furniture-grade walnut — which means visible open grain rather than a printed woodgrain film.
- Weights the base to resist a one-handed grab — so the stand stays put when the headphones come off in a hurry.
- Lifts the cups clear of the desk — keeping the earpads out of spills, crumbs and dust.
- Needs one screw and one minute — with the post threading into the base by hand.
